Cornhole League (Session 2)

We hope you’re ready to toss some bags and have a blast! Our Cornhole League kicks off this Tuesday, March 18, 2025 and we’ve got all the info you need to get in the game. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just here for the good times, we’re excited to see everyone out there!

League Dates & Times 

• Tuesdays from 7-10pm @ The Brewer’s Lounge
• March 18-April 29th
• BYE Week: April 8th (due to private event at Pigeon Hill)

Keep Track with Scoreholio 📱 

• We’ll be using the Scoreholio app for live scorekeeping, scheduling, and lane assignments. This makes it super easy for everyone to stay up-to-date.

Registration 📅 

• When: Now through Sunday, March 16th
• Cost: $40/team – register online or at Pigeon Hill Brewing by Sunday, March 16!  

Cornhole Basics – Here’s How It Works: 

• Teams: Two teams of 2 players (doubles).
• Pitching: Toss your bags underhand from your side of the board.
• Turns: Players alternate tossing 4 bags each.
• Scoring: After all 8 bags are pitched, tally the points. The team with the higher score for the inning gets the first turn next round (or if it’s a tie, the team who went first last time gets the first toss this time).

Cornhole Scoring – The Breakdown: 

• 3 points for a bag through the hole.
• 1 point for a bag that lands and stays on the board.
• 0 points for a bag that hits the ground or bounces on the board.
• Cancellation Scoring: Only one team can score in each inning. Your team’s points will cancel out your opponent’s lower points. For example, if Team A scores 5 and Team B scores 2, Team A gets 3 points for that inning!

Winning the Game: 

The first team to hit or exceed 21 points wins! (No need to go overboard…unless you’re aiming for a perfect game!)

Lanes.   Due to space constraints, our lanes will be 24 feet vs the official length of 27 feet.

Got a Sub? 🤔 

If you can’t make it on a league night, no worries! You can find a substitute. Just make sure they check in when they get here. Also, they can’t be from another team.

Cancellations / Forfeits 

Life happens! If both players on your team can’t make it, let us know at least 24 hours in advance so we can adjust the schedule. If no notice is given, the games will be forfeited for that evening.

A Little About the League 🍻 

We’re here to shake off the winter blues with cold drinks and cornhole! With 3 courts and traditional 21-point scoring, it’s all about having fun, meeting new folks, and enjoying the camaraderie. Prizes will be award to 1st-3rd place!
