April’s selection, Everything I Learned in a Chinese Restaurant by Curtis Chin, is a heartfelt and humorous memoir about growing up in his family’s Chinese restaurant in 1980s Detroit. Through food, family, and community, Chin explores identity, belonging, and resilience in a changing city. Warm, insightful, and deeply personal, this book offers plenty to reflect on and discuss together.
