Book Club: Anxious People

Join us for book club at the Brewer’s Lounge, in partnership with The Muskegon Area District Library and Hackley Library. Our monthly book club meets every second Tuesday of the month at 6 PM, offering a fun and relaxed atmosphere for book enthusiasts to gather and share their thoughts.

For the month of August, we’ll be diving into “Anxious People” by Fredrik Backman. This heartwarming and poignant novel tells the story of a failed bank robber who accidentally takes a group of strangers hostage at an open house. As the narrative unfolds, Backman masterfully weaves together the lives and secrets of each character, exploring themes of anxiety, human connection, and the importance of empathy.

Books are available for checkout at the Norton Shores branch of the library, with a limited number also available at the Brewer’s Lounge. Don’t miss this chance to enjoy a great read and engaging conversation over a craft beer (or wine or draft cocktail) from Pigeon Hill Brewing Company.
