Lake State Beer’s lager is a testament to Michigan tradition, made to be enjoyed from lake to shining lake. Gold as the sun soaked dunes and as cold as the Sault Ste. Marie. This lager avoids all adjuncts (no corn or rice here!) to create a crisp, clean, and infinitely quaffable beer with microbrewery quality and flavor at a wallet friendly price. At 4.5%, Lake State Lager captures everything we love about beers that are made for enjoying – not dissecting.
Pure Michigan water brews crisp Michigan beer.
Lake State Beer is the creation of the team behind Pigeon Hill Brewing Company in Muskegon, MI. In celebration of our tenth anniversary, we decided to take some time to honor our roots: Muskegon history and classic styles. Lake State Beer provides us with the opportunity to do both.
What’s in a Name?
Lake State Beer’s name holds dual meanings: It honors our great state and the beautiful waters that surround us. It is also named after the first beer released in Muskegon after the repeal of prohibition.
Lake State Lager is now shipping from Lake to Shining Lake in Michigan. Keep scrolling for our “Lake State Locater” – but if you don’t see it near you, be sure to ask your favorite store or watering hole for Lake State Lager!
